Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Even though entering their maiden European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding result that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the knockout stages, especially following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
