The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
